Frosina was heartened by President Obama’s inaugural pledge for immigration reform during his next 4 years as president of the USA since “Millions of undocumented immigrants are locked of of higher learning. Their struggles continue, but in the meantime, there’s UoPeople, a tuition-free, online university open to any qualified student. Learn how to enroll at uopeople.org.”

I recently spent some time in Beverly, Massachusetts and came across an amazing community services institution called Beverly Bootstraps. They offer a variety of free classes, including:

  • ESL
  • Computer Training
  • Adult Literacy
  • Job Readiness
  • Youth After School Programs
  • And much, much more

I actually volunteered for Beverly Bootstraps, teaching in their ESL classes — which they call ESOL for English for Speakers of Other Languages — and their instructors were excellent.
